The Electra tool for the iOS 11.2 – 11.3.1 jailbreak has received a new update due to the problems encountered by many users even with version 1.0.1. Among the bugs, there are various errors like “error: exploit“, “error: amfid patch“, “error: rootfs remount“, no Cydia app installed or just a black screen.
Jailbreak developer CoolStar, released an updated version 1.0.2 of its tool Electra thanks and explains on Twitter that the success rate should be much more important:
- Use different bundle identifier for mptcp version
- Increment bundle id properly
- Hopefully fix success rate regression with multipath 1.0.1
The new Electra jailbreak version 1.0.2 is available for free download.
For the jailbreak, the procedure does not change, follow our iOS 11.2 – 11.3.1 jailbreak guide.
Be aware that in some cases, you will need to restart your iPhone at least twice after installing the Electra app before launching the jailbreak.
[Update]: If that does not work, remove the update in OTA from the Settings app, and clear the contents and settings of your iPhone, then start the jailbreak again.
This version should notably correct the problem related to the absence of the Cydia app, as well as the other bugs mentioned above. Let us know in the comments if this update helped you jailbreak without any trouble.
